The Vancouver Bar Association is part of a joint project establishing a Public Commission on Legal Aid. Below is the press release announcing the creation of the Public Commission and the appointment of Leonard Doust, Q.C. as Commissioner. The other partners in the Public Commission are the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch), the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Foundation of British Columbia, the British Columbia Crown Counsel Association and the Victoria Bar Association.
