The Vancouver Bar Association wishes to promote fair hiring practices of articling and summer students. Accordingly, the VBA sets out the Articling Interview Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) governing the recruitment of students for summer and articling positions in downtown Vancouver. The purpose of the Guidelines is to provide clarity with respect to recruitment. Students and law firms who have questions or concerns at any stage of the recruitment process are encouraged to seek guidance from the Chair, VBA Articling Committee.

Circumvention of the Guidelines is to be reported to the Chair, VBA Articling Committee, in writing. It is the responsibility of all participants in the articling recruitment program to ensure its integrity through compliance with the Guidelines.
